Maybe Foshan University can give you a scholarship, but it can hardly teach you really useful knowledge about something like Chinese language.
Foshan University is just a fourth-class university in China.
Sorry for telling the truth. but I don't think we should lie even on an international forum. |

[b][size=18]We never lie. Foshan University is the only one university in Foshan,GuangDong. Foshan government put lots of energy into it. We have complete teaching equipment and well-structured administration. Of course, Foshan University still needs improved but is quick developing.
Hope you can speak something with true evidence, please.

the website you offered is just a website, no matter how splendid the website is, the university is just a 4th-class one. maybe it will change or improve in the future. however, recently, it's still a developing 4th-class university.
It's the only university in FoShan, that dosen't mean it must be good. yes, FoShan is a rich city, and the university may be well-equipped, that dosen't mean it must be good either. |

If Foshan University is in Guangdong Province then the people in that area do not speak Mandarin, they speak Cantonese. So I think if you want to have the opportunity to speak Mandarin while shopping etc., then this might be a problem. However, I have lived in Shunde and taught there and I found the people to be extremely friendly and hospitable. Usually the professional people will speak Mandarin with you but that is not the language you will find on the streets. Just some useful info. |

That's true, in GuangDong province and HongKong, we speak Cantoness and Madarin and English. Probably is close to HK, people here is more fashional and multicultural than mainland. If you are planning to come to study, here can give you much horizon in both language and culture.
Foshan is a rich city follows GuangZhou, ShenZhen, but less city noisy and fewer citizens. Truly quite a beautiful living and educational place. Welcome to FoShan, GuangDong! |

How much does it cost spending some time in China? I and a friend are interested in learning Mandarin, and we are considering spending sometime in a Mandarin-speaking province. Could somebody give me some information about it? _________________ Stormy Weather. |

from Germany to China it's about 500 Euros.
I would suggest you to learn Chinese in your hometown because in China people could cheat you. Yep, that's a good point. In GuangDong, you can learn multiple Chinese languages and cultures. here is an immigration provice, pretty much like New York, in terms of the character of immigration. so, if you wanna learn multi-culture of Chinese, GuangDong would be a nice choice, of course, including FoShan. however, if you just wanna learn native Mandarin, then you should go to BeiJing. |

kikicock, what do you teach in your university?
you have impressed me so much with your patience and your well-educated manner. I am not being sarcastic, I really mean it. I think, if you are a teacher, then your students are lucky enough. |
