Seems like a great place to post free ads...SO...

I decided to go into business....Why not?? FREE ADS!! Ain't life grand?

Look for links soon for "THE REDHOT ENGLISH CART"...

I'll be selling hotdogs and peanuts...but..you'll have to order in English (or Chinese?).

Thanks for the plug...Philo :)

You lost me Philo. If it wasn't you, I'd delete it as a matter of course. I guess I missed the joke.

I have a lot of trouble with this forum. I'm not sure what is supposed to be allowed and what is not, and where to draw the line. If you want to help by flagging with the ! those you think are inappropriate, it would be helpful.

Lorikeet -

Sarcasm IS the lowest form of wit; I'm not surprised you didn't find the humo(u)r in my post.

Sorry. It was ill-considered, in that I didn't respect the effort required in your position as moderator. Mea maxia culpa!

How do I use the ! function to mark posts? (please feel free to PM if you prefer)

This forum is a bit of "catch all"....I'd be happy to offer what little help I can.

Respectfully...Philo

Just check the ! to the right of a post and leave a message. Sokay I understand how irritating everything is. If you ! something, I am more apt to consider deleting it. Do you see the red !?

Lorikeet -

No "!" on my screen for some reason...only "Quote".

It's OK though, I'll try to be less of a "kvetch".

Thanks for the indulgence. Philo

Mathuhide - If you're still reading...Hello!

So, you're Japanese...How are you? Is it a beautiful season now in Japan?

I guess the Maple leaves are turning red. Philo :)

The moderator could write a sticky at the top of the forum that specifies what kind of advertising is allowed and what is not.

One idea is to only allow posters to advertise in their 'signature' below their posts. That way they have to post something useful or interesting in order for their message to be seen.
