Hello everyone.

I am from Japan and Im interested in other countrys entertainment like TV program or movies, comics and something like that.
And also I think that searching about TV program will give you a hint to understand that countrys culture.
Could you give me your information about what kind of TV program is famous around you and if you can, why do you think it is famous?

Thank you

Reality shows like "Big Brother" really catch people's attention. But usually we are addicted to TV Globo soap operas.

Right now there is a sopa opera on TV named "Pginas da Vida" (something like "Life's pages") which talks about some of the problems of the everyday life.

The main story is about a Doctor who adopts a girl with down syndrome rejected by her own grandmother, but there are other plots concerning alcoholism, bulimia, infidelity, divorce. The common ingredients of Brazilian soap operas.
