Please tell me if this one is correct:


I have to work hard and earn not much

or should it be:

I have to work hard and don`t earn much.

The second one is better to me.

It might be a little better as, "I work very hard but I don't make much."

In Southern California, people say (in Spanish), "Mucho trabajo, poco dinero." (Much work, little money.)
