I am going through a test. Question:
What is the task accomplishment level at the norming stage?
1. Low to Moderate
2. Disruptive
3.Increasing
4. Optimal
Tell me what would you choose and why? What's a norming stage?

| Lousy English is what it is. I don't know of any verb "to norm". Therefore the question is incomprehensible. |

Hi,
I'm learning something too.
"Norming" means to adjust test scores to compensate for ethnic and cultural differences.

I'm not sure how the definition relates to the question, though. It sounds like it's a technical process.
In mathematics, it would be called "normalizing."

It's business slang related to stages of team development. Without the text the student is being asked about it's really impossible to say what the correct answer is. _________________ Warning: I have a dictionary and I'm not afraid to use it! |

Thank you, ESL-ish!
It appears to be the "settling" stage of team development.

The brain-"storming" stage is pretty common in business meetings.
The order would then be:
1. forming
2. storming
3. norming
4. performing
And the levels of task accomplishment would then be:
1. Disruptive
2. Increasing
3. Low to Moderate
4. Optimal

What would I do without you.
How on earth I should know that there is that business model out there? That's a rhetorical question though.
