I saw #1 in a book. But I think that #2 is correct and #1 is incorrect because the verb, 'care', is supposed to be followed by 'wh-clause' not by 'that-clause' grammatically. I wonder if I'm right. Can you teach me?

I would say:
People don't care that our environment is in a great deal of danger.
People don't care about the environment.
People don't care about the fact that our environment is in a great deal of danger.
People don't care what condition our environment is in.
People don't care what the condition of our environment is.
People don't care how bad the condition of our environment is. _________________ I'm never going to learn if you don't correct my mistakes! |
