What's the difference between these two sentences?

I should think that someone should be able to explain this to me

I would think that someone should be able to explain this to me.

Wow... tough question... I guess number one is an assumption, and number two, a expectation.

Ok, I admit it's just guessing... I'm not really sure about the difference.

I should think is more modest than I would think.

I think the use of "should" is also more British, as I haven't heard it much in American speech.
