(1)I don't know whether to rent an apartment or buy one.
(2)I don't know whether to rent an apartment or to buy one.

I'm wondering which sentence is right?
Is 'to' needed right after 'or'?

I'd appreciate your help.

Dear b7lake, Both sentences are correct. But the extra 'to' in the 2nd one is not really needed: it's just extra weight. The parallelism of the sentence is still intact without it. So, the 1st sentence is better. Smile
