Here are 3 sentences. I wonder which one is right and why.

1.Revise the following sentences, using verbs in the active voice and eliminating unnecessary verbs.

2.Revise the following sentences, use verbs in the active voice and eliminate unnecessary verbs.

3.Revise the following sentences, use verbs in the active voice, eliminating unnecessary verbs.

I don't really like any of them.

1 is better than 2 and 3 but I would replace the comma with the word 'by'.
In 2, you cannot use a comma; either use a semicolon where the comma is or have two sentences.
3 is just no good.
