Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance. |

Usually it is "at a high pitch" of something or other. Musical notes at a high pitch are to the right on the piano; those at a low pitch are to the left. As people get more excited, the pitch of their voices tends to rise. So we associate high pitch with great excitement.
By saying "at a pitch of excitement," the speaker / writer is forgetting to tell you whether excitement is low or high. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |
