Hello all,
I want a quatation from Kamikaze pilots. They used to say to their fiances : "Tomorrow night, you will find me in firefly."
Isn't it too romantic??? That's not the right quote; but i have written here what I remember. If anybody knows then please give the proper one. I will be really thankful to him/her.
Thanks |

I would hardly call crashing an aeroplane into a ship a romantic way to die, but the firefly idea is poetic. |

I've heard a similar story.
A young man frequents a local izakaya (tavern). When it was his time to join the military, he tells his friends at the tavern "if I die I will return somehow to say good-bye."
He joins the kamikaze pilots and is killed. Shortly after his village hears that he is dead, a firefly somehow finds its way into the tavern. The tavern master says to everyone "It is our friend come back to visit us." |
