Hi, there.
Today I learned the following sentences in the grammar class.
#1. He has much more books than I do.
#2. He has many more books than I do.
The teacher said the sentence #2 is correct, but, in my opinion, the sentence #1 is correct.
The reasons are:
'much' can modify the comparative 'more,' while 'many' cannot modify the comparative 'more.'
What do you think?
I'm waiting for your answers.
Thanks. |
