I've been to China, yes. It is worth visiting.

There's a lot of great food in China, and some not so good. I really enjoyed the common food in Hubei Province best. But I think my favorite special Chinese food is the perfect tang bao(汤包) in Beijing.

There's mostly terrible "Chinese Food" in the U.S. It's all made to taste good to Americans - so it's terrible.

However, you could go with me to eat. I know all the best places for authentic Chinese food in Southern California. Smile

Many regions in China do not use lots of spice (不好辣)。

But it seems the spicy cuisine is the most famous.

There is some very good food in China that is not hot at all. Razz

Of course! I love Chinese food. There are lots of Chinese restaurants in my country. However, I was in Beijing last year, and I could see for myself that the food we ate there had absolutely nothing to do with the "Chinese food" we used to have back home. I was expecting that, of course. Oh and like someone mentioned above, almost everything was spicy.

Guys, it depends.

Different regions, different taste, QUITE different.

(1)Eastern-- sweet
(2)Southern-- fresh
(3)Northern-- fat (stewpot mostly) & pickled cabbage resembling sauerkraut
(4)Western & the middle-- spicy [Esp South-west, I can not suffer even though I like it so much]
