Hello! I'm doing a survey on differences in conversational style. I would like to ask for your help, people from Australia, Canada, Britain and the USA. You'll only have to answer five short questions (two of them are closed and the other three open-ended).
Below are some links where you can download the file (If only I could attach it right here). Please fill in the questionnaire and then send me. My address is: [email protected]

Thank you so much in advance! |

By answering the following questions you have contributed to the success of my study. Thank you for your cooperation!

a. I tend to go directly into the matter (e.g. Absolutely right!. No, its wrong etc.)

c. Other opinion (please specify):
PART II
1. If a member in your group often overlaps and/or interrupts other members, how do you feel about 1him?
2. What is your opinion about a member who often keeps silent in a group discussion?
3. If a member expresses 2his opinion by going directly into the matter (e.g. saying I disagree, Its completely right etc.), what do you think?
Thank you for your cooperation!
1him & 2his: For reasons of simplicity, him and his are used when referring to a speaker, even though the use of the male form only might be considered sexist. Therefore, it is important to note that him is meant as standing for him/her, his for his/ her in this context. |
