There must be some mistake.
"Brian is a very energetic boy who likes to play games and centers" means, "Brian is a very energetic boy who likes to play games and to play centers."
Unless there is such a thing as playing centers -- and I've never heard of it -- it doesn't make any sense. Are you sure this is the exact sentence you saw or heard?
