Boy, I think you are too yong to define yourself.

Now maybe you are kinda idealistic. but I think, at your age, most people are idealists.

I guess you would become a perfectionist in the future.

Idealism is good in the young. They still have the energy to do the work necessary to try and make the world a better place.

I'm more of a realist flavored with the bitter spice of cynicism and the heavy cream of laziness. Confused

But a pessimist would say:"my life is 100 times better than at least 5 billion people Smile How can I love life? what about those poor people?" Wink

I could never see life that way. If I don't love life, I am wasting it and all the opportunities I had, which I think is wrong. Should I not have gone to university because 5 billion people aren't able to? If I hadn't, then I would not have been able to help people as much as I could have had I gone to university.
Ofcourse I always try to help any way I can (and that does not mean only giving money, something a lot of westerners are doing now to feel good about themselves without actually doing any work)

But on a different note, when I was growing up, my family was a "foster family". My parents took care of many children who couldn't live in heir homes anymore. Sometimes children would come and live at our house for 1 week, sometimes 1 year, 2 children stayed for 8 years until they were 19. BTW, foster homes are not all bad like stupid Hollywood always shows in the movies.
So, I had to share my room with many children. Usually their parents were bad, lazy, or stupid. Not always, but on the most part. We had two children come to our house one time...
One was 6 years old and one was 5. They could not talk, only bark (like a dog). They lived in a small cabin in the forest with 20 dogs. They use to sleep in dog poop. They had lice and other things too. They had never been to school and they were also sexually abused. That is just one story of some of the things I have seen. How can I not wake up everyday and say "Life is good" after seeing and living with stories like that.
