Guys, as u know, this is one of the most famous pictures in the world:
Mona Lisa by da Vinci

Can you guess what she was thinking about when da Vinci was painting this picture? Different people, with different age, cultures, background...would have the different answer.

I asked my daughter:"Baby, what is she thinking about? you can guess"

"she is thinking to herself:come on! I am not pretty, why did the painter choose me as his model? ok, since he just wants to finish his painting, I'd better keep silence and smiling." answered my daughter Wink

what's your guess? guys?

She was thinking that the false teeth that Leonardo made for her were not very comfortable. Confused

Actually it's just a bit of mythology that is part of the Mona Lisa story.

"The husband of Lisa del Giocondo commissioned Leonardo da Vinci to paint the Mona Lisa, shortly after she had 3 teeth pulled and false teeth fitted."

I really don't know how much truth there is to the rumor of Mona Lisa's false teeth.

hi,have you ever read the novel named "the Da vinci Code"? It is written by Dan Brown.I have read it during my summer holiday. It's really a wonderful novel! Cool coooooool~~~~I felt excited when I was reading it.But I haven't watch the film yet.
In this novel, there were some parts about the Mona Lisa.I was tooooooooo surprise to read it! Surprised Oh~sorry I don't want to repeat them,it is too complex.
I don't think Mona Lisa is pretty, too. And I couldn't understand why her smile is charming...I don't study in art,so I couldn't understand why the picture is so famous around the world Question ... Rolling Eyes

that explains why Mona Lisa closed her lips Laughing

If the story beancurdturtle told is true, then Mona Lisa's husband was just great! you see, his wife wasn't pretty, but he even asked a great painter to paint a picture for her, what a sweethearted husband he was! Laughing

the Da vinci Code? it must be a popular movie. because I have seen many comments about it. I am gonna download it from internet.

Yes, Mona Lisa was very very obese! if I looked as fatty as her, I don't think I can still smile. In that case the first thing I wanna do might be: to lose weight!

Getting into the spirit of the posts so far, I'd say she's not concerned about her tooth, but about her eyebrows (Oh my God! Where are they???).

Maybe women in in that era liked to have their eyebrows shave? was it some fashion style?

Or she probably got lepra or syphilis?

Nah, I don't think she's obese... maybe because I live in the US Laughing Maybe it's a good thing for women to be "plump" during the old days... remember, Lady Yang Guifei (楊貴妃) was also supposed to be "plump" haha.

what?? Mona Lisa isn't obese?! come on!!! she might have choked you if you and she made out! with her big joint.

I don't know how YangGuiFei(杨贵妃) looked like, if she looked like Mona Lisa, how could she have turned Tang Emperor on? Maybe Tang emperor just had a special taste?

I am a little plump too, but just referring to the part of my chest.

I guess she was thinking:"I am pregant!! nobody knows who is the father! Even Da Vinci himself! maybe Da Vinci has forgot what he had done to me at that romantic night 2 months ago when he was pretty drunk!" Laughing Laughing

I guess she was thinking: "Ohmygod what a bad environment around me, how can I live in such a situation? If I had married with a millionaire I would live in a palace now! What a *beep*, and I'm even supposed to laugh because otherwise Lenardo won't give me money, what a *beep*."
