What do you see on this picture??? what's that about?
To be honest, I don't know why people think this picture is amazing. in my eyes, it's an awful picture.
My daughter just came by my computer, and she saw me browsing Picasso's work, she asked: "Mom, why are there so many boobs on these pictures? are you watching some bad pictures? those women even wouldn't bother to wear any bra, they are so crazy, ain't they?"
I would like to put one here. here you go!

I agree with your daughter opinion . Actually i dont have any knowledge about Picasso's art. I only know that Picasso's drawings often describe about the beautiful of women, and his style of a painter is so daring...
If you gave a some works of Picasso, i was sure that i dont know how valuable they are . Drawings of Picasso is abstract, so with me it's just a drawing, and i dont know what did he wanna imply, i knew some his drawings because they are famous.
Let's see...i remember about the interesting story. There was a painter, when he was alive, his works noone wanted to buy them. His friend has a idea that he would tell that the painter died, and this is workings he bequeath. And they did as the plan of his painter. Fortunately, almost of drawings are sole and they become famous of course the painter was famous too. Before he was so poor because of his job but by sham death he was rich _________________ I'm smart, that's why i'm single...haha(^_^) |

Does anybody know who designed this? If it's picasso than this will be the only thing from him I like. The screaming skull is most definitely not a Picasso. It's a Halloween mask as much as anything else.
Red Rose and her daughter, Garfield Jesse, and Ad-miral do not like the Picasso drawing, I guess, and that's fine. Every design, every work of art will be wonderful to some, horrible to others, only so-so to others. For me, this is not the best Picasso drawing nor even a particularly good one. It's so-so. Probably the original is more interesting than a reproduction; that is often the case.
But Picasso's works can be profound. I have seen his works from time to time, and I was lucky enough to see quite a few of them in Berlin around last Christmas. Some I just had to return to several times before I could leave the museum, and even then I didn't want to go.
One was an oil of a mistress of his, rather abstract, very expressive, captivating. It was the kind of painting that a lot of people would scoff at, saying that he didn't put the eyes in the right place, and he used funny colors on the face, and why isn't she smiling? But what a portrait!
I have seen the Mona Lisa, and while I could gaze at that painting for hours on end, I have to say that Picasso's mistress was more forceful in grabbing me and demanding my attention. Certainly it was one of those that was very imposing in the original; I doubt that a miniature version on a Web site would have quite the same effect.
At the same museum was one of the greatest works of art I've ever seen: A portrait of a young girl done not in paint or ink but in sand -- different shades of very light sand from a beach where Picasso spent part of a summer, probably mixed in with thin glue to keep it in place. At first I though it was a sort of three-dimensional drawing, and I looked at it from various distances and angles until I got right up close and read the card next to it, saying that it was of sand. Maybe Ad-miral would look at it and shrug, but to me, let me just say again, Wow, what a portrait!
I would give anything for the Mona Lisa, the painting of Picasso's mistress, or that sand painting of the girl.
Picasso, like Shakespeare, like Beethoven, like Michelangelo, is famous not because he grabbed the attention of the media of the day (although he could do that), but because he was good, profoundly, impossibly good. He could draw a person as realistically as anyone, and I've seen such drawings, but he could also distort so perfectly as to make more than a portrait, more than a photographic likeness.
Art like that you do not merely see, you experience on different levels, and you remember the experience along with the image.
So, old Pablo Picasso is all right in my book. He can come to my birthday party anytime. _________________ You live a new life for every new language you speak. -Czech proverb |

Thanks that you still remember my name, I never thought.
That picture is from the movie "Scream"
I would like it very much to watch it sometimes, maybe with you, CP, KHF and the very mysterious Mr. Bob S. _________________ If I say "I love you" to someone, then I also have to say "I also love everyone else inside you, I love the whole world because of you, I also love myself inside you." -- Erich Fromm, the Art of Love |

The image you show is an adaption of Edvard Munch's expressionist artworks commonly called "The Scream."
