Haha, really? Well, I can see why. English is difficult to learn, especially if you're forced to learn it. I had to take Spanish for 2 years, and now I am taking Japanese because I want to, not because it's required. |

Eh, not really ^^; I was forced to learn either Spanish or Latin. A lot of Hispanic people live here, so it's useful to know, but I wanted to learn Japanese. So I'm about the same fluency in both [though Japanese verbs are not fun to learn]. |

Ya, I know what you mean with Japanese verbs. It's hard to wrap our heads around them (I am assuming you are native english kurisuti). Nihongo wa musukashi ne? Korean and Japanese grammar is just so different from English. |

No! I wish. I lived in Japan for two years and I never studied Japanese in a class either. So most of my learning was speaking to people and friends. Luckily, I didn't live in the big cities, so I had to learn quickly I only know about 400-500 Kanji and my speaking isn't so good. My listening is pretty good though. How about you? Why are you studying it? |

Woah, why'd you live there? For college or just fun? I'm learning Japanese because I'm interested in the culture & language. I went to Okinawa over the past 2 summers & LOVED it! I'd like to teach ESL in Japan after college & study abroad there during college. |
