If someone killed your friends \mother\father\relatives,got your money as his own, invaded your home. You bitted him badly, and forgive him.But later he says nothing had happened ,and all the things he did are reasonable, what would you think?some Japenese are just this type.

Maybe because the Japanese claim Kimchi as their own?

I'm not sure but I was told that in the west, people think that Kimchi is Japanese when in fact it is korean

I don't think most westerners (including me) know what kimchi is. We know some Japanese food because it has become fashionable, but I think (except for English teachers) most have never heard of it.

I agree with the upstairs. Giving a name cannot be so serious; it is just a flash of the mind. By the way, I am a Chinese girl from Beijing China. It is quiet clear that there are some unpleasant political issues between China and Japan. No surprise for some Chinese hold unpleasant attitude towards Japanese. But as for me, I havent heard about any complaint towards Korean people. Or so at least is not as many as that about Japanese. Also I want to claim that I dont mean to trigger political clash here. And to be honest I sometimes got lost under this political issue. There were many marches in the street at one time to resist the Japanese goods, also I try my best not to buy Japanese products. I can do this easily but I dont know how to protest my foreign friend, a boy from New York, when he said it was the hatred between the last generation, we should not hold the same feeling toward the Japanese today because their attitude may different from their ancestors. Since I dont know the exact situation in Japan so I should keep a cool head. However, it is a pity that I learn from all kinds of means that many Japanese young men dont know this history. What happens recently maybe a good proof: A monk from Japan visited a memorial on Monday to express his sorrow for the Chinese victims of atrocities committed by invading Japanese troops from 1931 to 1945. Iwata Ryuza, 70, knelt and prayed for almost two hours ant Fengman Labour Memorial in Jilin Province. He said he hoped his act would raise awareness among young Japanese of the atrocities and also help promote a good relationship between the two countries. I appreciate his courage and his faithfulness to his heart. Also I think it is meaningless to argue about the endless debate. What we should do now is to arouse their awareness and wed better maintain a harmonious relationship. Peace is the most important, isnt it? Finally deep from my heart I hope somebody stops his action to visit some place.

japan and korea are not to be hated from my point of view. it is nothing wrong with the country in itself. both of the too makes great contribution to the world's economic development. to some extent, they helped china a lot in the past. it is only their bias towards chinese people that arouse the chinese's anger.
personally, i prefer korean people to the Janpanese. korean movie stars are very polite and attractive.but Japanese people seem arrogant and conceited all the time.

We don't hate Korean actually. And we do appreciate their nations holding together. But about Japanese...it is hard to say.
Usually, we don't take it too seriously.

Ok, i'd just like to say that you can't judge all people as a whole.......so yea, some Japanese ppl might still have that outdated " superiority complex", but every single Japanese person doesn't. Wink

And for any fellow Americans that have the audacity to say anyone else has a "superiority complex" or whatever, should be punched hahaha.
Becuase anyone could throw that right back at us TIMES 500!! Lmao! Very Happy

p.S.::
Oh and where is all this S. Korea and Japan hating stuff comming from?
I thought it was the Chinese that hated S. Korea/Japan and S. Korea AND Japan both that "hated" the Chinese.....all this hate carp changes too much (-__-)

Also...... Kimchi?.....LMAO, I'd like to hope humans aren't THAT pathetic to hate each other over a misunderstanding about Kimchi.......

Sometimes our chinese refuse to buy the productions made by Japen and it is not because that we hate Japanese, but a protection to some Japanese's uncomprehensible attitudes, for example, they deny their invading to our country and so on. But for myself, i cannot resist the lure to buy some Japanese's productions because the quality is really good.
For koreans, i like them and i have been fascinated with soap TV series very much, for example , i think the series my name is Jinsanshun is very funny and interesting. In addition, some of my favorite stars are koreans. In a word , i make a lot of contribution to the industry of korean TV programs.

Outofin says that people who worship war criminals make him sick. I agree. So, all those Chinese that worship Chairman Mao - now you know what we think of you!

In my experience, most INDIVIDUAL Chinese people do not hate INDIVIDUAL Japanese people. The problem is that the Chinese government creates an atmosphere in China where people are EXPECTED to hate the Japanese. It's all about fuelling nationalism.

This is where the comparison with Germany breaks down. European governments do not encourage their citizens to hate other nationalities. Europeans have not forgotten WW2, but they understand that most Germans were deceived by Hitler's nationalist rants. The Chinese do not understand that the Japanese soldiers were similarly deceived by nationalism. Now, it's the Chinese turn to be nationalistic!

You'll see what I mean if the Japanese beat the Chinese in table tennis at the Beijing Olympics. There will be blood on the streets of Beijing, just like in 89.
