I'm for it, I think someone should take up the sword against the US-led economic domination of the world. People in the US and Europe may have to make some sacrifices, but it will be better for everyone in the long run.

I was out of this topic, which I found very interesting.
It seens to died but ....

I would like to express my opinion. I would like to see showing up new Economics power-as China, Brazil, etc it would be good for all World.

However, nowadays ,USA don't have any country can compete with it and it is so because is the most important consumer market in the World.

China can produce whit lower cost than Usa but the goods must be sold in USA. Many companies in China has produced to USA market.

I am in favor of the proposal to take out whit kind of tax or valuation upon goods. In doing so, will help in the developing of many countries.

However, USA is the big market when its deficit (export-import) increases or its agriculture is being threat they can be done two things.

a) devaluation its currency- the product out increases the prices.
b) dont sign up any agreement whit their partner to stop tax valutation with products. WTO.

Deficit of Bush Administration is being decreased thanks the last devalutaion of its currency. Euros- ( to 0,9 - 1,20$)

What can be done. Nothing, Asia can not sell its goods in anyother countries

Europe even has a more subzidize economics.

I chosen China, Asia but I hope anybody from there it will be offended i can be used whichever others countries

I am a Chinese student,i am sorry to see that.Genkiguy, you are wrong .One child policy doest mean the deaths of coutless newborn babies and forced abortions. In some countryside, you can have two children.Even you concept extra one, what do u need to do is pay a very high fine after the baby's birth. But the fine is very high ,many family can not support it.That is all.

To all those Americans concerned about outsourcing, let me remind you that outsourcing is a double edged sword. You have been all out in support for free trade and globalisation until outsourcing hit you. Everything in this world won't go according to the wishes of the American people. In business cost-effectiveness is of paramount importance and companies would do anything to save the last penny. Stop creating the fuss about globalisation and try to find out how the average American can benefit from outsourcing. When American(other developed countries included)goods entered Indian markets, they wiped out many small and medium sized businesses and rendered many people jobless. Did the Americans ever protest then? When will you realise that other people too have the right to make a good living?I don't think that American jobs(and lives for that matter) are more important that of others. Every idea has its good and bad sides just as there are two faces of a coin. You can't always keep on making profit at the cost of others.By protesting against outsourcing you people are proving yourselves to be hypocrits. I am a great supporter of globalisation and I believe that it helps in bringing out the best in people, products and countries.

China does have the one child policy, but it is useful and important. As we know, the population here is very large, and the world's population is very large, but our resources are limit, our land is limit, our food is limit etc. What will you think when you live in a crowd city, take a crowd bus etc.And the policy doesn't mean deaths of countless newborn babies.Usually one family are allowed only to have one child(of course not used in minority groups),and if the family have another child, the newborn baby doesn't need to die,but they have to hand in money as a fire.Overall, people benifit from the one-child policy, and if you are not clear of something, please don't spread wrong information ,thank you.

Don't look down upon china.
Though China is a developing country, she is growing up.The Party will make the country more stronger. The policy is right .It fits in with Chinese stuations.
China is friendly to other counties, she can't launch wars by herself. The chinese love peace as the others. But if someone who makes great harm to small or weak countries, china and chinese people will stand up to the weak countries.
I don't think china will lead the developing world against corporate greed.
Because chinese people are busy building their hometown now.

I am from China. I respect german. Nobody in China likes war but we have to watch Japan. They killed thouthands millious of Chinese in WWII and never appologize and they still take China as enemy nowadays. Any one who dare not take resposiblity for his actions will not win other's believes. So does a country. I believe Japan is the most dangerious nation in the world if you know something more about what they are thinking and talking from media.

Mr Admiral, I live in Japan and and work in the Japanese state education system. I just wanted to point out that many Japanese do feel a great sense of guilt over the WWII attrocities, such as the Nanking massacre and the slaughter carried out by the kempeitai in Singapore ( a place I recently visited in order to find out more), to name but a fraction of the vile actions performed throughout the whole of Asia (Eg Burma, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Malaya, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, and the Celebes.
Therefore, in their defence I must say that, many many Japanese are utterly unaware of the what actually happened during WWII as they were lied to at the time and continue to be lied to now. The contents of School history books, for example, is a major political issue here with pleasant sounding synonyms such as `withdrawal` instead of retreat or `incident` instead of mass murder being used to brush over politically sensitive issues.
Blame also lies squarely at the feet of the British and American forces, who never properly brought full charges against individuals such as Gen *beep*, Lt-Col. Masanobu Tsuji and General Hideki Tojo. As these men never had to answer fully to all of their war crimes, it has thus become easy for the Japanese to simply clear hemselves of blame for events for which they were never brought to account.
Fortunately however, there are many who do understand, and are apprecitive of the pain and suffering caused by their ancestors actions. It is pitiful though that they do consider these actions unrelated to themselves or the present political climate in many parts of Asia.
Japan may be a major economic power in the world but it must be understood that it is still a country full of incredible contrasts and contradictions and a desire to isolate itself from foreign influence and foreign interaction in general. The excepion of course is their desire to purchase symbols of high culture mainly from Europe. On this point I must say that it is hideous to see so many people with Louis Vuitton bags and accessories (14 Louis Vouiton outlets in France and 41 in Japan) who still won`t sit next to a foreigner on a train.
MacArthur described the Japanese as a nation of twelve year olds. That hasn`t changed in over 50 years. Ignorant bliss!
