The theory about this picture is complex, but imagine that you are sitting there posing for a portrait by a famous painter? It was said that Leonardo Da Vinci was a very handsome man at the time the painting was done. Maybe if you look close and see that she shows desire in those eyes, and a smile for the man that is painting her? _________________ Visit my Blog on a Chinese web site. In her heart she may want the man. Or maybe she is thinking about the jealousy that her friends will have when she tells them about her visit? _________________ Visit my Blog on a Chinese web site. No one really knows.
I could not even tell much from her eyes but she seemed happy to me.
I know noththing about the woman.
Why did Da Vinci paint her? I know it is his favorite painitng. He carried it all the time. He enjoyed looking at it.
The painiting gesture seemd she is a nice and solemn woman. Her clothing suggested that she was not a fancy woman.
Mona Lisa was not beautiful.
Her hands are big looks like man's hands. She seemed to me that she looked like a guy when I looked at her a minute or more.
Her long hair was not beautiful.
Her up body looked like a guy.
I think Da vinci is a gay artist! |

The painting has been digitally analyzed and found to resemble Da Vinci himself. Why? Some suggest that Da Vinci is homosexual, some think that Da Vinci use self portraits to practice painting human facial features. Perhaps Mona Lisa is a fictitious person afterall. |

It said that the smile of Mona Lisa look like the man than a women, Leonardo De Vinci himself is homosexual so he drew himself in the women portrait. _________________ I'm smart, that's why i'm single...haha(^_^) |

first of all, Mona lisa smile's is closed because it was convention of that time. You'll never see a woman smiling showing her teeth in any portrait of those times, becase it was thought to be very rude, while a smile like that was kinda gentle.
that picture is so famous because DaVinci loved it, and so this engouraged curiosity, and, most of all, it has been kept in France, where it could have been more "advertised" in some ways... |

the same thing happened in China in those years, but not anymore.
a few hundrad years ago, shy Chinese women were concidered as "charming women", so they got used to covering their teeth with their hand when they smiled. even now, some Chinese men still think that shyness of women is a total turn-on.
I never cover my teeth in any case. I think my teeth are all pretty and sexy, no need to cover them at all. if a man dosen't like me because I always show my teeth, it's ok. he must not be my type. I will take him as a freak. |

think about the igienic conditions of the western reinassance... do you really think that her teeth must have been beautiful...?
Nowadays, when we think about a smile we think about this:

but a "white smile" like this couldn't have been very common in those times! |

We have some Japanese ladies at my office that cover their smile with their hand. I think it's a little silly - but they are cute girls, so it's cool.
