Hi, the discussions are pretty interesting Razz

But the business of going to war against Iraq is not very clear at all. There are more reasons behind the motivation for war than just the obviously one, that we need to disarm Iraq and destroy the axis of evil. President Bush is just digging himself a bigger hole for going to war with Iraq. First it was the 9/11 terrorist attack, then the economy start to spiral down. And the war in Afghanistan is going bad with no significant progress; Bin Laden is still running around. Suddenly Bush just shifted the attention to Iraq with the terrorist and disarms business. Bush is just trying to control our focus on the war with Iraq and forget about everything else Evil or Very Mad . Why Iraq Question , it is a atheist country, and has not support of fundamental Islamic group. There are more terrorist organizations running around in Iran, Saudi ....and those countries who support fundamental Islamic group than Iraq.
And of course, we want to bring "democracy" to Iraq; hmm I wonder what about Saudi, Iran, and Jordan... Just because we are Saudi ally and they have the oil for us, we just have an exception Evil or Very Mad . I do not disagree that Saddam is a bad person who has caused a lot of terror to stay in power, however, US can't not go in alone with out the UN. Then we will once more return the imperialism period. This declaration of war will not be justified. The whole world does not agree to go to war. It is not hard to win the war, but no one wants to get into the ugly business of building a nation.

I totally agree with you.
Frankly, I competely against the terrorist attacks, such as 911 Incident in New York. I think the conflict between two different countries should not cause the casualties and death of normal people. If Bush wanted to take revenge, I can tell him," Just go aheard!" As I don't want to see any casualties and death of normal people again, although 911 Incident was also a revenge action for uncounted death caused by US. But, something should be stated clear, 911 was planed by Bin Laden, and not Saddam. They are proved that don't have any conection with each other, however, US mixed them together. Obviously, she was just find a cause of war.

Then, why US must fright with Iraq? Is it because US want to express her freedom idea, liberal thinking and democracy system to the other countries? If yes, why doesn't her bring them to North Korea first? Or going to stablize the political situation of Africa? Simple question, why is Iraq? Certainly, it was totally related to the gain, the natural resouces there. I can sure that US will expose her ugly wants when fright alone.
They must bomb Iraq repeatly, not only the soldier there, but the public citizen both. They are not saving them from the Saddam's control, they only care about saving the oil fields instead. And if she just fright out of UN permission, we can truely see what the real inside of a "freedom , liberal and democracy country"!!

Yes, the question is still Why Iraq Question and Why now Question . Iraq is just an old US's tool that need to be removed because it is annoying US. As we all know, Iraq was once an US's ally because US want to fight against Iran. Suddam was put in power by the US, he was once part of the CIA and was considered as the most important man. US then fed him with intelligences, trained his army and even provided chemical, biological weapons to be tested out. Now that Suddam has become too dangerous for US that he must be removed. Indeed there are more urgent problems around the world than just Iraq. There are more people die in Africa because of starvation, disease, and civil war than the people get killed in Iraq. If US were going in for humanitarian aid in Iraq, it is obviously just a lame excuse. As I mention earlier discussion about bringing democracy to Iraq, why just Iraq, there are plenty of countries that are doing worse than Iraq. Finally for political stability in the Middle East, I don't think by taking Saddam out will stabilized the Middle East. Building a nation is a job that no outsider could do. The Palestinian and Israeli conflict is what must be fixed right now. Those are constant and present terrors. Iraq is just only a possible threat. To stabilize the Middle East, we need to start from the core of the problem, religious-sentiment. Iraq is an atheist country. The only solution to this is by working with the UN. The UN will need to take serious consideration for a resolution that would hold back the US aggression until the UN agree to go to war. Razz

Historian said, "There are no forever friends and enemies in political!" I think it can be welly described by Us 's situation. In the past, Bin Laden and Saddam were used to against the enemies by US, therefore they became the "friends" of US, they were got financial, and even military support. Simply speaking, they can get such of power now mostly thanks to US. However, when they became "useless" and US found that she was being theaten by them. The policy was competely changed. They suddenly became the enimies! It proves that political is "dirty". Are you my friend or not? It's rely on how much benefit I can get from you, certainly not any idea of saving the world.

If the reason US attacked Irak was to free it from a tyrant dictator...
Why hasn't US freed Cuba which is right in its "front yard"?
Simple: Cuba doesn't have oil.

More dead, and the regime which has murdered countless thousands with US weapons and blessing is gone. The munitions factories are doing well, as for the Iraqis, I am not so sure. What next?
