that's called "major"

For example: "I majored in mechanical engineering."

uhm let me think....
We divide our education in:
Pre-School(2 years): for 3-5 year-old kids
School or Primary(6 years) and High School or Secondary School(5 years)

Then we take an exam to study at the University. This exam we take it, in August or September and in February or March

The career that you will follow depends on the kind of the exam. If you fail the exam there are chance to give it the next year and so on.

I hope you understand my english Wink
bye bye

For ANKA: I would like someday learn Russian, I've heard music from T.A.T.U and Smash! and I like it.

For Stephen Long: first thank you.

There are many kind of schools here. Private and state schools.
Schools only for boys and others only for girls. And there are some of them that have boy and girls in the same school. We call them 'colegios mixtos' i think the translation could be 'mixed schools' but i don't know at the moment

See you then Wink

Hi again!
I've got two brothers and a sister, we are four. But my mom has got 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
In Peru there is a plan to reduce the number of children called "Planificacin Familiar" But, it doesn't work, although there are getting lower the number of chidren per family, the age for sexual iniciation is beggining earlier.

About Religions we have an " Oficial Religion": Catholic
But there are a lot of religions as Muslims, Judios, Mormons, etc
I think here there is liberty to choose a religion

In Countries, I couldn't tell you anything because I haven't travelled abroad, but i think that each country has a beautiful thing and also a thing that makes you hate it.

For example, In my country there are interesting places, but the most hateful thing in my country is that most of the people haven't got "Urbanity Rules".

How about you? Religions, etc??? Wink

XLIV,

hah.
we do have population-control. I have only one little brother. And nowadays, any families could only have 1 child-- if you got more, it is illegal and you will be punished by law by costing you a huge quantity of money & making you unable to get a job in Goverment Agents and Goverment-owing companies.

for religions, we are free to have a religion or not and most of Chinese have no religions at all, me either.

for countries's hating or not, yes, i agree with you. And the only thing between countries is profit, no profit no relationship and then no hateness or likeness.

i beg your pardon for answering late. i had a busy week
I've read something about population control in your country

I agree with you, my parents teach me as a catholic but i haven't got a religion. i think there is a powerful thing or person that people call 'God' but i don't think that you must to go to a church to pray or giving money for them. i just believe

see you then Wink

XLIV,

cool, we are in Summer while you are in Winter.

explain? about "the summer vocation"? Shocked

hmmm, you know,
in most of the countries in the world,
there are 2 semesters per year for the student.

eg. in China,
semester I = Sep.~Feb. , and the following period is "winter time"----the students will have a long-time vocation after this semester during winter time, which is called as "winter vocation.
semester II = Apr.~Jul., ... ... "summer time"----... ... as "summer vocation".
