I love all kind of books, but right now one of my favourites is "Holes" by Louis Sachar. It's a bit different than most of the books I've read, but I really like the way Sachar writes. It's great! Very Happy

Lord of the Rings- movies and books- are superb! Which chracter do you like ? I like Faramir. I think that the character is more intriguing. I adore Legolas in the begining, but really. Faramir reigns supreme! The story line is excellent, too. Razz

I agree with cjp. One of my favourite books is 'Anne of Green Gables'. Anne is such an original character and scenery is spectacular. Sorry I haven't visited the island yet. I hope I will one day.

Hey! I've read that one too!! What about Dude, where's my country? I liked it as well, but Stupid White Men is better.

I really like the Harry Potter series, El Mundo de Sofa, La Caverna, The Da Vinci Code, Los Azules Das... Anyway, most of the books I've read are in spanish, but I like reading in english too.

And Frindle is very good too! Wink Cool Very Happy

Well, I'm truly happy to know that there are people who, like me, enjoy reading 'Anne Of Green Gables'. For your information, I'm even watching the animated series of this novel. I've also read the sequels of 'Anne Of Green Gables', namely 'Anne Of Avonlea', 'Anne Of The Island', 'Anne Of Windy Poplars', etc. These priceless books (to me) can be easily borrowed from my school library. I will read them whenever the end-of-year holiday arrives. Honestly, I simply love the way L.M Montgomery depicts the story and describes the sceneries. It makes me feel as if I'm a guardian of Anne who watches her all the time. Anne is such a lovely, cheerful and creative lass! I do hope that one day, I will be able to travel to Edward Island and see 'the lake of shining waters', 'lovers valley' and many more. I'll definitely be enthralled by the beautiful sceneries of Edward Island.
Besides 'Anne Of Green Gables', my favourite storybook is 'Heidi', Johanna Spyri's masterpiece because I adore Heidi's sunny-nature. 'The Secret Garden' by Frances Hodgson Burnett is, in a way, a special storybook to me. One must discover the 'magic' of this story by reading it. 'Pollyanna' is also interesting (much like 'Heidi'.)
Are there anyone who reads Nicholas Sparks' romance novels? I tell you what, his 'A Walk To Remember' is really touching and heart-warming. I shed a tear or two while reading the story. First you will smile and then you'll cry, don't say that I haven't warned you. You can log on to www.nicholassparks.com to find out his latest novels. 'A Walk To Remember' was also made into a major motion picture which stars Mandy Moore, Shane West in the year 2002.
Since we are all avid readers, I'll recommend this website to you: http://fictionpress.com May you all enjoy reading from every now and then.

Well, my number one is Lord of the Rings, and I like books by Sue Townsed- whenever I think that it can't be worst and life is cruel, I read about Adrian's problems and immediatelly I feel much better Wink

My favourite book:

" The mother " by Maxim Gorki.
You have to fight during the first third of the book but if you win against the boredom then you'll be rewarded towards the end! The story is very dry but the style is awesome..!
