Now I see they have moved on to burning embassies and killing people. All because of some cartoons in a Danish newspaper last September.
Apparently one of the cartoons was of Mohammed with a bomb in his turban.
Gosh! Bombs and muslims - I wonder how the cartoonist made that connection? |

Nobody is gonna censor anything here, I hope. This thing is only another incidence of the confrontation of religion.
So the result is for the western countries: Don't paint cartoons about the moslemic God, because that will only continue a fight between the western and the muslims. If they paint cartoons, they they have to consider terrorist attacks.

Hi everyone,
I think I must join in and so here I am. I am from India, a Hindu by birth and a atheist by choice.My best friend is a Muslim and I have attended quite a few Eid Namaz, so I am not quite anti-Islam. I am only po-science and pro-logic.
Let me answer Muslim guy's questions one by one.
I have heard lot of arguments and counter arguments as to whether god exists or not.Frankly, I don't know if he/she/it exists and as long as I don't get some solid proof I have chosen not to believe in it, just as some of you have chosen to believe. May be that we exist prove the presence of god but there countless other scientific and non-scientific theories which explain our existance.Not even all religions agree on how humans came into existance.So which one is correct?
We don't see air yet we know it exists.Simply liquefy air, cool it to around 20Kelvin(or -253.16C) and you can see all its constituents,oxygen,nitrogen and even helium. Also tests can be made with ease for detection of each of the constituents of air in gasoues state.As for electricity, the movements of electron can be detected. Or better still, ionise air itself with a high voltage(Van De Graff's generator) and you can see blue sparks in air.Can anyone suggest any such concete experiments to detect god?I am not speaking of hypothetical and emotional arguments like the fact that we exist etc, but something concete which can convince me? I am really looking for it.

Really, who says so? I guess some ulema from some mosque.What do mean by "related to current animals"?Animals(atleast according to science) have evolved from their ancestors, so similarities will exist.And yes, fossils of many prehistoric minute multicellular oganisms have been found.

Please name some of these above mentioned bioligists and exactly what they have said in support of God.
You say that Prophet said about high building being built by Arabs. Well now every country and every city/town/civilasation has built builiding which indeed are high.what does it prove of pophet's connection to Allah? Prophet could been easily been saying about people of Rajastan in India, which has sand and camels, and the people have been looking after their camels since ages and have now built high buildings.How are you sure he meant the Arabs? Even Nostradumas said a lot of things which came true.He even said about the occurance of events like 9/11.So then is he god or is he in anyway related to God. Even I can make a few predictions which can come true in future.So am I god?

Do you believe your god can stop people from killing or stealing? What could your god do when innocent muslims were killed in Gujrat(india) in 2002? Could jesus prevent the twin towers from collapsing? And what is illegal sex? In Islam, a man marries a woman, makes her pregnant and divorces here by saying triple talaq(even over the phone or via sms) and it is upheld by the quazi.Now thats legal sex, everyone listening.

| If you say that only your religion is a true one...then you are wrong.Can't you see the difference beetwen crestian religion and the muslin religion?There are big differences.All the muslin country's are the poorest country's in the world and the cristian country's are the richest...have you ever asked your self why?Why Allah dont help your country?Because he dosent exist?Or because he is too week?And you say that real muslins do not atac people...they are not killing people...but the people that offer them-self to be kamikaze they think they are true muslins.They belive that after they die will go in heaven.They think that is the only posible way to go in heaven. They say that Allah order them to kill any men or woman that are not muslin. Well, this is a quite interesting argument between muslins, cristians, and atheists. As everytime people discuss about religion we now have people offending each other's religions. I think this happens because people never want to be wrong, so they defend their religion as if they were defending their own lives. Of course, that is their world as they know it. Your parents have been teaching you what is right and what is wrong in God's name, and that is the TRUTH. Right?
I don't think that's right. If someone teaches you something, he could always be wrong, whoever he is. After all, he is HUMAN. So, I don't believe in God as any of you do. I don't believe in people, so no one can tell me how God is, what is wrong and what is right, etc. I don't believe in books, as they have been written by a person. This person could be wrong. How do I know what's wrong and what's not? I think with my very own brain. I test the hypothesis and make my own conclusions.
I don't know everything. I'm not right about everything. I've made mistakes. I love nature. I respect people.
Everyone has their beliefs, and they have the right to have them, in my opinion. They might be right, they might be wrong. I'm not the one to judge. I'm not the one to change their minds. They don't want to. They feel safer with their own beliefs than they would with anyone elses beliefs. They might change, but it's up to them. Not me. Not you.
I'm just asking you guys to respect each others religions, whether they are right or not. |

People invent religion because they have no way of explaining what, to them, is unexplainable. This is why ancient cultures formed religons. Because they didn't know what thunder was. They didn't know what the stars and planets were. That's also why, no in the 21 century people are giving up religion. Because we now know what thunder is, we know what the stars and planets are.
It's people's arrogance that cause religous wars, but since there will always be arrogant people you have to take out the only other constant, religon, for there to be peace. |
