To stellara: Yes of course more and more of the uv lights come through because of the pollution, I never doubted it. Again:

Yes, because the ozone hole is becoming greater the chance of damage you get will be higher. I never said that there is no hole.

The fact that the hole concerning USA is weaker supports

However there is not only the UV beams which gives warmth to the earth.

I don't understand the purpose of this post, that's why I asked

Quote:
And I didn't even mention anything about ozone.

You did, however, say this:

Quote:

If all the wavelenghs of the light come through, then you will get skin cancer, believe me.

Which is what prompted my reply.

no, i said it's the infrared which is responsible for the warmth on earth, not UV.

but the atmosphere never completely blocked the UV-rays.. it's getting through more and more since the hole is getting bigger, but there was always some small amount coming through.

it's not only USA which is responsible for the Ozone hole, china and europe as well, if also not to the same amount.

I took US as an example. However there are holes everywhere, click "Ozonloch auf erde" in google and you will see.

Yes the infrared is responsible

here is a good site: http://www.medizinfo.de/hautundhaar/sonne/uv-licht.htm You know, 7 % uv, 45 Prozent infrared light and
48 Prozent normal light

And I didn't say that only USA has holes
