My favorite kind of music at the moment is Finnish metal, mostly progressive metal, like Children of Bodom, Sinergy, Sonata Arctica, Sentenced Very Happy
But I also like brit pop very much, and garage too. I like Franz Ferdinand and the Strokes.
Anyone who share the same interest with me can write or message me. I wanna make some friends who like the same kinds of music Very Happy

Shocked Laughing I like The Strokes too!!
I also listen to Nightwish, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Deep Purple, Metallica, Steppenwolf, Iron Butterfly, Uriah Heep, Nickelback, Stereophonics, Razorlight, U2, R.E.M, The Doors, Cream and The Kinks. And that was only the beginning of the list, I've got lots of favourites. Wink
By the way, JimiHendriXperience, isn't 'classic rock' a bit soft expression? Rolling Eyes

Music is very important to me. Not necessarily contemporary music, but older ones (pre-1990's). I consider it a true win listening to the kind of music that generations before us did and listened to. As a matter of fact, I'd go crazy, if I had to listen to the "heard-it-all-before"- songs on todays radio stations. So my favorite one is:

Jazz - I dig it because it is mostly "hand-made" and original music, played with much more passion, that can hardly be found in todays contemporary pop music. Furthermore, jazz has so many different styles that it takes quite long to discover them all.
favorite artists: Dizzy Gillespie, Eric Dolphy, Woody Herman, Stan Getz,...

followed by:
Classical Music - may sound a bit high-falutin, but this is the "perfect" music; it seems to me, as if every note is at the right spot; One needs to be in the mood to listen to it, though.
artists: Beethoven, Tschaikowsky, Stravinsky

other great kinds of music are blues, bluegrass
and the band called "The Libertines". The latter one makes some fantastic rock music.
