Like andre, I also don�t think that all girls like character, but some just like character. I know a lot of girls that don�t like just character and also some boys that like, so, I think we can�t generalize.

In my opinion, boys and girls care about appearance and character.

The difference is that boys care about appearance more than the girls do.
And girls care about character more than boys do.
But of course it is not about all the boys and all the girls.

Someone has told something about tradition. It may be true. In the past, the men used to have a lot of beautiful women, instead their wives stayed at home. Today it is very different, but we can see some influences. The boys are always looking for beautiful girls to date, but some girls want to know the boys first.

I meet many girls that just think about appearance... And I meet a lot of boys that don't just find beautiful girls...
Each person is different...

We can see who just think about appearance, then we can choose who we want next us ;D

I agree with the others who said we can't generalize. I think that girls like apearance as much boys like, or more. It's true that boys like very much of the appearance, but they also look for character. It's depend of each one wants for itself.

There are many boys who just care about appearence, but in my opinion appearance is not the only thing that I care about.
There are a lot of beautiful and hot girls here in my hood, but it is not easy to find a cool girl that like the same things as you and someone that you can really have fun with.
So, I'll always look for a girl that is not just beautiful.

ad-miral, in this point I agree with you, men always look at the beauty, in Brazil, if the woman is blond and lean the man alredy want "to take" her.
But women think before everthing what the man is, if he have good qualities as person.

Boys like more appearance and I can see this very well here, in Brazil, because I go to partys and my friends and I just look to girl's appearance and us nor reminded that they have caracter.

I am a woman, but I still read too much into men's appearance. if a man is terrible-looking, no matter how wise and intelligent he is, I am not attracted to him. I guess I am kinda hormone-oriented, so are many women. Therefore, I don't think it's about men or women. let's just say people are different

I am a boy and of course we look the apeareance but not only that, for me a girl must have caracter, to be a good person.
And this part "the girls just look the caracter"is a lay too.

When we are searching for a girl or boy we don't look just for this or for that, this is a great lay, we look the people and search for how the people is with everything and everyone I think that act count very much today.

In fact, this is a true affirmation, but like the others said, we can't generalize. I think either appearence and character are important. But it depends, some people don't agree with me.

Well, I think that this fact is not right, because many girls also like appearance, and many boys prefer the character. But answering the question, I think that the boys like the appearance because it is what they look for first in a girl, the remaining portion they only try to see later, then the appearance finishes being the main one of a girl.
However, the girls like character because they want for them something that gives they ahead a good status of the others and ahead of its future, they normally want somebody that can offer this to them, that is, somebody who has character.
