Definitions:
be incoherent: to make sounds or speak words unintelligibly
Stop gibbering and tell me what's wrong.
Could anyone use it in another sentence? How is it different from "making nonsense"?
Thanks |

Gibbering is definitely vocal, whereas "making noise" can be anything from vocal to coughing to tapping your fingers or whatever.
After seeing the ghost, John was gibbering with terrified madness all night. |
