I have just read that it says in the bible that the blind, the lame, dwarfs, people with funny noses or blemishes, men with damaged test icles, or broken hands or feet, crooked backs, or who have scurvy or scabs, or who have anything superfluous must not approach the altar of God.
Do Christian Churches apply this rule? This does not seem very kind. |

The passage of the Bible that was given was taken from the Old Testament (thousands of years ago). God gave strict instructions to the people about who could and could not enter the Tabernacle (church). In the New Testament, Jesus said that anyone who wants to be healed can be healed and go to the Tabernacle. I'm not familiar with any Christian churches who don't allow people to come in who are in any of these conditions now. |

Does this mean that Churches do not follow the instructions given in the bible?
I thought the bible was the "word of God". |

we do follow what God says, however, those rules were given for a very specific group of people at a very specific time and the author of that book of the Bible just wrote about it to show how serious God was about following instruction. iitimone7 |
