thank you. but I am not interested in your vendetta. yesterday an internet friend from Malaysia recommended this forum to me, and I also found some other forums myself.

This forum is awful, because nobody is managing it. people here insult each other with all nasty languages, without being punished. To be honest, many other forums are much better than this one. this forum is so disordered, it is going nowhere.

I am from SiChuan, 20 years old, male. I recently study in SiChuan university. my major is economics. I am planning to go to UK to continue my economics after I graduate from SiChuan university.

To post something on a forum, u just can improve your english writing and vocabulary, but you can't improve your english listening and speaking skills. so I think you should watch as many English movies as you can. at the beginning, you can understand the movie by reading its subtitles, but you can't rely on the subtitles too much, 1 month later, you have to force yourself to understand the movie without subtitles. I mean, you'd better turn off the sustitles. persevere! persevere! persevere! you will success!

I used to have a hard time to watch english movies or listen to english radios. I guess many Chinese people have the same problem when they start to learn english(in general, we learn dumb English in school). but a Catalan girl told me:"watch english movies! and listen to the radios! do it many times everyday! don't fear of difficulties!" I did, and I got it.

Now I can 80% understand english movies(sometimes 90%). of course, I can't 100% understand them, after all, slang is a big obstacle for me.

I agree with you too but I did it in a slightly different way. I listened to a tape twice a day until I remembered every sentence and every word in it, then when I watched other English TV programmes or movies, I understood most of it content!
