According to an American outfit, women from China are more beautiful than their counterparts from the Philippines, *so much so*.....

Could anyone explain that part?

if you meant 'so much as', then it's equivalent to 'even'.

But in this sentence, it is a shortcut way of saying, "... so much more beautiful..." That is, not only are women from China more beautiful than women from the Philippines, they are much more beautiful (at least according to that American outfit).
