David Lynch's *skin-crawling* series
How can someone's skin be "crawling"?
Thanks |

it's another one of those silly phrases that Americans use that sounds very funny to others.
if you sit down to read a skin crawling book, the book is probably a mystery or a horror book. the events throughout the book make you have goose bumps, chill bumps, or the chills (depending on where you are from).
example - a few months after my mom died, i was standing in line at a gift shop ready to pay for my gift. i was not paying attention to the lady in front of me when she began to pay for her items. the clerk told the lady what her total was for the items that she had purchased. the lady spoke and said, "that vase was cheaper than it was marked on the shelf." i immediately looked up and almost fainted. the lady in front of me spoke exactly like my mom and she looked exactly her, too. i dropped my stuff on the counter and left the store. hearing my mom's voice come out of the lady in front of me made my skin crawl...iitimone7 |
