i don't quite understand the use of back in combination with languorous because languorous normally means that you have a kind of neutral, unconcerned or even resigned attitude, you don't care about what or not is happening or will happen, it doesn't matter to you.

If you feel langourous then you feel calm or experience the pleasant feeling that you have when you are tired and relaxed, and feel lazy.
So to use it her is not very good writing. Your back cannot feel calm. nor tired or lazy. But it is not difficult to guess what the author was trying to say, "let your back relax." |
