Dear bud,

I know that you are knowledgable and warmhearted, you always help other members with your excellent English. But you seldom introduce yourself to us, so we know little about you. you know? I am soooo curious about you!

I have some guesses about you, I hope you would believe that I have no malice, all my guesses are due to my curiosity and respects. ok, here are my guesses. If I am wrong, would you correct me? Thanks

1). You are a guy, not a woman.
2). You are a professor, and you used to major in English literature.
3). You are about 30-40 years old.
4). Now you have at least 2 girlfriends , and they are all crazy about you.
5). you love music, as much as girls love you
6). You are the most popular among all your friends and co-workers.

Red, that's very flattering, so thank you. I'm sure you are a sweetie. You are wrong on most guesses, though.

1. Correct.
2. I majored in Math and hated English. I avoided it like the plague until one semester I took a literature course and a linguistics course. The linguistics course was, by far, the most interesting course I ever took. I read a lot, but not much literature.
3. Older.
4. Only one. Sometimes she's crazy about me; other times I drive her nuts.
5. Yes to the music.
6. I don't make friends easily, but there is strong bond with the ones I have.

By the way, your post was very well-written! Keep up the good work.
