thicket=thick growth of bushes: a dense or tangled growth of small trees or bushes
Why did it put emphasis on *growth*, is it about the kind of thick bushes? |

No. Growth in this case just means something (anything - any vegetation) that is growing. A thicket could contain trees, thick bushes, thin bushes or any combination. It is a natural grouping of trees/bushes. |
