In the world, there are many kinds of flowers that growing up. Some of them have the meaning and important for the special chances. All of these, they make me to think of one, that is ROSE. In my opinion, rose is an amazing flower for three reasons. First, rose is the sign of love and care. You can give a bouquet or a basket of roses for others in many occasions, not only your lover but also the people who are respected. On Valentines Day, people like to give roses for their special persons or when you want to congratulate someone on Graduates Day or for their successes, rose is the popular flower that be selected. Besides, the different colors of roses are indicated different signs and meanings such as yellow rose is a symbol of a good wish for AIDS patients. Second, rose has aromatic smell. It can be extracted for making perfumes, smell of candles, powder, spray or another. The people who fascinated in rose smell, will be happy and relax exactly when they sniff it. Moreover, nowadays aromatherapy is being in trend, rose is the most favorite smell of the users to select for treatment. Finally, if you want to beautify your rooms, rose is a good choice. You can bring rose trees or only its flowers (put in vases) to adorn your rooms that can help your rooms to look more beautiful and luxurious. In addition, if you grow rose trees in your garden, when they bud flowers, you will feel happiest.
In conclusion, rose has many colors and each of them makes lookers feel different motions. Nevertheless, they can represent several matters.
What do you think about this wonderful flower? |

This is a very famous poem by Robert Burns. It is written in a Scottish dialect, but I think most of you will understand it.
O MY Luve 's like a red, red rose
That 's newly sprung in June:
O my Luve 's like the melodie
That's sweetly play'd in tune!
As fair art thou, my bonnie lass, 5
So deep in luve am I:
And I will luve thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry:
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt wi' the sun; 10
I will luve thee still, my dear,
While the sands o' life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again, my Luve, 15
Tho' it were ten thousand mile. |

I can't understand this poem exactly, because there are a lot of new words in it. but I can feel as if a guy named Robert Burns fell into love with a girl. But sadly, the girl didn't feel the same way he did, so he had to wait until the sea got dry, and by then he could go visit this girl through a thousand-mile trip. very hard. poor man
I wonder if Robert Burns finally got to date this girl, but his poem is nice.
and asterix, I wanna open a thread for you, may I? because I am so curious about you! |

Luve = Love
melodie = melody ,
bonnie lass = beautiful girl,
thee = you.
I think the poem was written to a woman with whom, at the time, Burns was very much in love.
He is declaring his undying love (while the sands of life shall run) yet at the same time saying goodbye.
He goes on to promise he will return no matter how far. (I will come again my love, Though it were ten thousand miles)
At one point in his life he was planning to emigrate to Jamaica, so perhaps this was written around that time.
Burns had many lovers in his life and many of them were said to be plain, but the one he eventually married and had four children with was Jean Armour.
Perhaps it is written to her. |

Though I've never seen a rose tree. Do you mean a rose bush? |
