I have an AMD. It has been very good. Also, I didn't like that Intel was trying to secretly put tracking devices into chips a few years ago.
Good luck,

I have an AMD's processor "Athlon 2200+".
Athlon is cheaper than Intel's processor Pentium.
And Athlon is same spec Pentium.
Pentium is brand and PRADA also is brand.
These are same meaning.
Athlon is good processor! |

Anymore I find the speed of the processor isn't that important anymore. Since AMD is usually a better deal in terms of performance and price, for general computing it's what I recommend.
It's really not worth arguing over anymore since the video card is the limiting factor for most games. If you aren't playing games and not doing research, then who cares .
As far as stability is concerned I find that has more to do with the software then anything, especially device drivers.
Now the real argument is.. why does the software cost so much? Why do schools always want to use the latest version of Microsoft Office(ARg arg!).
mmm... what I would give to have BeOS as the main stream OS instead of windows.. *sigh* |

I agree INTEL have stability more then AMD but AMD have speed of processor more then INTEL . Both INTEL and AMD are the competition is stiff not only speed of the processor but also stabilization and other .
I think more people choose AMD due to the difference between AMD and INTEL evident its less expensive by efficient in the vicinity INTEL .
Now a day AMD have a development to produce chip or CPU 64 bit available now for competition INTEL, Pentium 4 have property Hyper streaming and working well multimedia because have cache memory more then AMD .
I have Pentium 4 used in a long time by few year ago I consider INTEL because during many year ago INTEL company is over the goal secondly AMD . I believe more publicity that affect is expensive when compares favorably with AMD owing to AMD in Thai have the least publicity . While I want PC high performance but PC have performance well not only processor speed but also other part such as mainboard (FSB) harddisk , ram and other but if you like playing games I think you should select display card have memorys card enough for that game or more .
Finally I believe that both INTEL and AMD have efficient and stabilization and I think you should select suitable your work . |
   I think AMD cheap than INTEL and efficient and do you think ?
Hello, kitti keawpratoom.
I also think AMD is cheap than INTEL.
My first PCs CPU was K6-2@450MHz(AMD).
Why did I choose this CPU?
The answers were the value and the performance.
If I use office soft, AMD is powerful than INTEL.
I dont pay a lot of money for PC.
Because I didnt use PC so much and need high specs.
I dont play games like internet game, Ragnarok, on PC.
I just use PC for making word or powerpaoint files and check mails.
But sometimes I use it for listening and create music. |

The destinctions between Intel & AMD over the years has blured due in part to there overall acceptance in the market place.
Intel processors were the first on the maret so have a head start in the marketing through brand name association. AMD on theh other hand are newbys by comparison.
I personelly would side with AMD as Intels chips are overpriced for no real advantages.
Stability wise I have had no problems with AMD as long as there is sufficient power to run them which on most PCs nowadays would not be a problem
INTEL
+ Established brand
+ Used in Buisness
+ Good track record
- Expensive
AMD
+ Cheap
+ Readly available
+ Widely supported by hardware
- Runs hot (Good cooling a must)
- Power hungry (must have at least 350W PSU for best performance) |

i think AMD usually has a better sense on playing games and some other entertainments. and INTEL is better at extracting files and some high speed computing.(sorry im a shanghainese,so my vocab is not as good as u guys, hope u can understand what im saying) |

Your processor is a little bit bad.You should use XP3000+ .
Your processor isn't suitable for your computer's price. _________________ kobe is my idol, forever! |
