which is correct? why? i think the 2nd one is right, but i do not know why
the 1st one is wrong. |

Comments:
Actually, the first sentence is correct: "some properties of lead" refers to two properties (softness and resistance), but not to all of lead's properties.
The second sentence needs a determiner before lead: the article the would commonly be used. The second sentence also suggests that softness and resistance are the only properties of lead. I'm sure this isn't true: lead must surely have more properties than softness and resistance. _________________ Dennis Oliver
