"For years, [George Orwell] struggled to support himself with various odd jobs....Eventually working as shopkeeper, correspondent, teacher, editor, and radio producer, Orwell tended to empathize with the disenfranchised of society."

"Odd jobs" is a collocation (chunk) meaning varied but not necessarily "odd" (unusual).. _________________ If a man constantly aspires is he not elevated?

Well. I mean irregular as one not following schedule, like "be irregular in school attendance" _________________ I work here --> Research Writing Help |
