Today my sister called me on phone:"sis, do you know why people name valentine's day like that? what is the reason? why is it valentine's day, not Tom's day or something else?"

I answered:"it is easy. listen, once upon a time, a guy named valentine, made love with his girlfriend all day long on February 14. that's the reason!"

My sister laughed:"I am sure you are talking nonsense. ok, I am gonna ask someone else. now my internet dosen't work, otherwise, I wouldn't have asked you!"

But I think my explanation made sense.

do you think so? guys?

In Estonian is it also called "Sbra pev" too, it means friend day. I like that calling more.. we can also celebrate valentine day and friend day all in one.

Valentin was a priest from Ternia and he has been executed on the 14th of Februrary, 269 AD. He dared to give the ceremoney for other guy's marriage in a chrstian way.
Because the king Klaudius didn't like Christianism, Valentin got killed.

now i see....the real origin of Valentine day is so sad.... and it's not as romantic as my first guess.

I would rather believe that a guy named Valentine made love with his gf all day long... sounds very nice Crying or Very sad
