If your answer is 'YES'
tell me your favorite book
what is you most recommended book?

If your answer is 'NO'
One of my teacher told me that 'Reading is a privilege only human being have.' No other living creature on this planet has this ability.

Reading gives you free access to the treasure of the human spirit-from all ages, from all parts of the world

the first step is to get into the habit of reading.
The most important thing is to develop yourselves.
Very Happy Very Happy

god, i can only agree Very Happy i love reading, actually!
i have no favourite book because i read so many books and either i like ther very much, or only like them, or don't like them so much - if i don't like them at all then i don't read them, that would be nearly a waste of time Wink
but i enjoyed reading "The Third twin" by Ken Follett, "The discrete Charm of Charlie Monk" and "Mother Of God" by David Ambrose (all thriller), and i also like the novels by Linda Howard or Sandra Brown.

but everybody has his own fancied books Wink i can only say that i found these really good.

greets

OMG, if I told you all the books I have read in all my life. Since I learn how to read I have had a book into my hands. Before my mother read for me.
I prefer tell you the authors: Homero, Balzac, James Joyce, Franz Kafka, Herny Miller, Anais Nin, Simone de Bovoir, Sartre, Gorky, Borges, Saramago, Oriana Fallaci, Carpentier, Cervantes Saavedra, Lilian Helman, Carlos Fuentes, Poniatowka, Garca Marquez, and much much much more. Now Im learning a trilogy of the myths and legends of the King Arthur.
In the same was I have seen too much movies. I think to see a movie is like read a book, you must to finish to see it or to read it.

elba, your mum had read those books for you, she must have been a patient mum Exclamation

Contrary to what your mom did to you, my mom used to force me to read!!! if I didn't read what books she gave me, I would be beaten terribly! By comparison, I prefer your mum's method.

But gratually, I found that reading was very interesting! Finally, I got obsessed with reading. and then my mom demanded me not to read so much! she told me:"don't be geeky! your eyesight is getting worse and worse by reading so much! I don't want you to become a blind girl!"

Sigh! Terrible mom! but I still miss her since I left my hometown to my recent city Crying or Very sad

Guau Rose, I dont know where I read this, but in some book I read that we have to understand us ouorselves to understand the anothers.
I mean, if your mom was hard with you for the pourpose of reading, maybe you was a little lazy, and she wanted you were different.
My mom was so sweet, but I was a very sweet and shy girl, if someone say anything hard to me I used to cry all the day, then she was convinced that I need sweetness, even now I am very fragil I mean my heart broke easyle.
It is good to read, you go into a unknown world and discover lots of things and feelings. Yuo know, I think that all people want, some day in the life, to be a character of a novel.
thats what I think
