i heard there is huge disparity between them.

lots of americans dont understand what foreign students say without turning their head once or twice.

i dont understand what that is, but my esl teacher keep saying to me that my englsih will be ok.

could anyone give me a few example about these two cases?

in my opinion, english ive learned so far seems too awkward or formal which rarely used between friendly americans( well..u have to live in america at least to answer this.....sad...sigh)

Accents vary. City People do not speak with the same accent as country people. Wealthy People do not speak like lower working class people. AND, the English speaking accents of people from All english speaking countries also vary.

I am Australian, and I believe i have pretty god command of the English language. I can understand nearly all English accents, except some native speakers form Scotland ans South Africa. I can understand nearly all American accents except thick New York and LA accents.

You have asked "how is english we speak now different from real english", well, to answer that i'd have to now what country you are in, and what you consider real English to be.
