Today I watched FRIENDS(a comsit from USA), here is a dialogue happening between Joey and Chandler. but I can't understand it well. here we go!
JOEY: Why don't you go see Frankie? My family's been goin' to him forever. He did my first suit when I was 15. No wait, 16. No, 'scuse me, 15. (still confused) All right, when was 1990?
CHANDLER: You have to stop the Q-tip when there's resistance!
What dosen't Chandler mean by Q-tip?
Thanks in advance |

A Q-tip is a cotton bud - those little things you use to clean inside your ears.
When Chandler says Joey should stop when the Q-tip meets resistance, he's suggesting that Joey has damaged his brain by pressing too hard while cleaning his ears.
So really, he's joking that someone who can't remember how old he was in 1990 must have brain damage (caused here by poking a Q-tip so deeply into his ear that he hurt his own brain). |

Hi RedRose
I'm from the UK, but I love Friends - I've got about 6 series of it on DVD. I like quite a few American comedies, though I enjoy British comedy much more. I think Friends and The Simpsons are two of the funniest series ever. The writers on those shows are geniuses.

On my 50k crappy dial up connection it would probably take a month to download one episode!
Maybe you could mail me a DVD?
