i don't think this is about knowledge Smile it's just about opinions!
i suppose you mean the difference between a male friend and a boyfriend for a woman or between a female friend and a girlfriend for a man?!
ahm, i think too, the answer is obvious Wink you all know the difference between a friendly love the kind you like or even love a friend and the (deep) love you feel for your partner, the kind which includes sexual attraction, a deep understanding for each other..

greets Very Happy

that's what I mean.

A guy told me: "I don't exactly know the difference between a female friend and a girlfriend, for me, they are the same. because I always sleep with my female friends, but they are not my girlfriends."

Redy, I think your friend refer to that new relations between young people.
At my country young people has :

Friends:who share school and different activities, except sex, like a coworker
girfriend: somenone you see, kiss, go to the cinema, go to sancing, sometimes make love, etc
Lover: Only for sex but the lover think is a stronger love. she never imagine that the guy only want sex.
Free: Only for the nights you want a good time, as if the girl of boy were girlfrien or boyfriend, and lovers at the same time. the relation is only for one night.
Link: Someone that the guy know in a party or another place, there are kisses, funny moments, and the promise to see each other in a future.

stranges relations between young people

To a friend, you tell her everything you want.
To a lover, you tell her everything exept of you love her. Laughing

No! IMHO,

To a friend, you tell him/her everything except for you love him/her.
To a lover, you tell him/her nothing but you love him/her.
