Which is more common expression in each?

I think not/I don't think so.
I guess not/I don't guess so.
I am afraid so./I don't afraid so.

It will be of great help if you can tell me why one is better than the other.

"I think not" and "I don't think so" are both common and OK to use.
" guess not" would be more common than "I don't guess so".
"I am afraid so" is OK, but ive never heard "I don't afraid so"
