1. Can someone tell me what happened in the Supreme court? I listened to the news, however, I am so confused. Is John Robert the nominee?

| John Roberts was a nominee, but he has already been confirmed as the Chief Justice and is now serving on the court. Your confusion is probably due to the fact that there were two openings on the court. Harriet Miers was the second nominee, but she withdrew from consideration on Thursday. The president will be nominating someone else in the coming weeks to fill the last remaining empty seat. |
