Hi,
Do you know this breaking news?
The mayor of California Arnold and his 12-year-old son were on the same motorcycle driving in Santa Monica,Calif. when the motorcyle driven by Arnold hit a backing car and fipped over. They didn't get seriously hurt since it was not too fast and they both wore helmets. Still unfortunately,Arnold broke his upper lip and ended up getting 15 stitches in a hospital. Earlier last year,he was thrown over, breaking 6 ribs, when his motorcycle hit a car ahead which stopped on short notice. ''The worst thing ever is no more than breaking your rib.'' said he,hospitalized for 4 days after that accident last year. But when he met the media this time,he still wore a big smile, with a swollen lip though.

It's worse than that. He is mortal AND forgetful. It appears he did not have a legal motorcycle license. Oops!

I feel I have to reply to this. There are very few people who think Schwarzenegger is a good actor. You would be in a very small minority there. He may have been is some big/successful movies, but that does not mean he is a good actor. Rich, yes.
A busy/responsible governor? He is busy spending millions and millions of of California taxpayers' money, just to hold a special election for ONLY his proposals.
And then what happens?
Californians rejected ALL of his proposals in this election. It was a complete waste of our money. This is "responsible"? I don't know what country you are in, but I am guessing you are not from California.

Muscular/handsome does not equal good/responsible. Wink

Hi,Gregsensei
I'm from China mainland. You may have a point. And thanks for letting me know more about him. Smile
A TV program in China invited him over and interviewed him not too long ago. I don't know whether it was some kind of ''sweet talk'', but what he said seemed to show that he really cared about his people. Some Californians said they wouldn't trust the gorvernment any more if Schwarzenegger was elected mayor.
In the beginning,I thought it was ridiculous that an actor, who might know little about politics, wanted to rule the state. What was even more ridiculous was that he succeeded!
I'm not that sure whether he's responsible or whether his movies are acceptable.I know only a little news about him after all. If he's not, he'll no longer be elected mayor to serve the people. Let's see what will happen in the next election.

Let's be fair here. If you back out of your driveway and some other vehicle runs into you, it's your fault.
Obviously Arnold should have had a California driving licence for a motorcycle, but in some states in the USA, if you have a car licence, you can also drive a motorcycle.
Generally speaking, California is an over-regulated, bureaucratic paradise, and as the most populous state in the union, is the tail that wags the dog.
