I think that shopping on-line has been a great benefit for me. The only thing that concerns me at times is the security. I purchased shoes from a web site that I didn't research enough and came to find out that it was a fake. The only advice I have for everyone is to please make sure that the web-site is real, call the numbers that they provide.

When buying online, there are some indicators that can have influence on a customer's confidence in the safety of an order.

-the first is the most obvious. It is based on any previous orders made by the customer or by others who have shared their experiences. If the order was processed quickly and efficiently, then a certain level of trust has been gained in the vendor.

-Many vendors display a 'Shop safe' icon on screen. This is a shopping directory which checks the security, delivery, range of goods and prices to ensure the e-shop is safe to purchase from. Those which fail these checks will not be listed.

-Many customers can be put at ease if a professional and well-recognised payment system in incorporated into the websites point of sale. Worldpay and Paypal are widely considered to be relatively secure.

-lastly you should check the websites policies on delivery and payment to see if there are an discrepancies.

I hope that this information has helped. I have been involved in selling online for quite a while now and can understand a user's insecurities, especially when purchasing a high order good, such as a diamond ring
